Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the academic and developmental needs of students as a Special Education Teacher in north Georgia! This vital role takes place in an inclusive classroom setting, where you'll work collaboratively with two dedicated teams to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. You'll have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of approximately 8-9 students, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
Active GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification, with Special Education General Curriculum (SPED) endorsement required Experience working in inclusion settings strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional materials for individualized student needs Strong communication and teamwork abilities Organized, flexible, and committed to fostering an inclusive classroom culture Ready to begin August 3rd, 2026, and available through May 21st, 2027 (potential additional pre/post planning days)
Role Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for a diverse caseload Collaborate with general and special education teams to ensure student success Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each learner Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Foster a positive classroom environment that supports academic and social growth Communicate regularly with families and support staff regarding student progress If you're passionate about inclusive education and eager to join a school community that values your expertise, consider this full-time 37.5-hour per week position for the upcoming academic year.
