About the Opportunity Do you enjoy working independently, spending time outdoors, and caring for animals in a meaningful way? We are seeking dependable animal care professionals to provide in-home pet services throughout the Savannah region. This position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in veterinary support, animal welfare, rescue organizations, boarding facilities, farm care, training, or professional pet care. Our caregivers help pets remain comfortable and secure in their familiar home environments while owners are traveling, working, or otherwise away. Whether supporting an energetic young dog, assisting a senior pet with medications, or caring for a shy cat that needs patience and consistency, every visit contributes directly to an animal's wellbeing. Daily Responsibilities Pet Care Visits Travel to client homes throughout assigned service areas Feed pets and provide fresh water Walk dogs and supervise outdoor exercise Engage pets through enrichment activities and companionship Monitor for changes in health, behavior, or environment Specialized Care Follow detailed care instructions Administer medications when assigned Support senior pets and animals with special needs Utilize low-stress handling techniques and positive reinforcement Client Updates Complete visit summaries through a mobile application Share photos and updates following appointments Report concerns promptly to management Overnight pet sitting Transportation of pets to appointments Meet-and-greet consultations Light grooming support Extended care visits Ideal Candidate Successful applicants are: Comfortable working independently Reliable and highly organized Excellent communicators Observant and detail-oriented Passionate about animal welfare Able to manage schedules and travel efficiently Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: Veterinary clinics Animal hospitals Rescue organizations Animal shelters Boarding or daycare facilities Farm animal care Professional pet sitting Dog training or behavior work Requirements Valid driver's license Dependable vehicle Smartphone with internet access Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas Willingness to complete a background screening Availability during peak travel periods and holidays preferred Benefits Growth Opportunities Team members have opportunities to advance leadership positions Flexible Work Structure Choose from full-time, part-time, or seasonal schedules based on availability and service demand.
