We are currently seeking a passionate, dependable, and professional Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old Classroom . This is NOT just a childcare babysitting position. We are looking for an educator who enjoys teaching, creating meaningful learning experiences, and helping young children build confidence, independence, language, and social skills. Our classrooms are literacy-rich environments where books, vocabulary development, conversations, songs, storytelling, and purposeful play are woven into every part of the day. The ideal candidate:
Has previous experience working with toddlers Understands child development and age-appropriate expectations for two-year-olds Values early literacy and language development Has exposure to or experience using basic sign language with young children Has exposure to Spanish and is comfortable incorporating Spanish vocabulary into daily routines Is warm, nurturing, and patient while maintaining clear expectations Is dependable, professional, and highly organized Understands that punctuality and attendance are essential in a classroom environment Takes initiative and works well as part of a team Believes that every interaction is an opportunity to teach and build language Responsibilities Create a welcoming, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Implement lesson plans and learning experiences that support literacy, language, social-emotional development, and school readiness Read aloud daily and engage children in meaningful conversations throughout the day Incorporate songs, rhymes, sign language, Spanish vocabulary, and hands-on learning experiences into classroom routines Foster children's independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Follow all Bright from the Start licensing regulations and company policies Communicate professionally and effectively with families and administration Minimum Qualifications CDA, TCC, or Coursework in Early Childhood Education required Associates or Bachelor's Degree Early Childhood Education preferred Previous experience working with toddlers required Experience with sign language and/or Spanish exposure strongly preferred Must pass all required background checks CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain What We Expect At Premier Childcare Learning Academy, reliability matters.
