Job Description

Job Summary:
MGCAA, Inc. is hiring for a Secondary Teacher position for Treutlen Head Start. The Secondary Teacher works cooperatively with the Primary Teacher and assists in implementing Early Childhood Development learning experiences and activities.
PLEASE NOTE
Candidates must have a TCC or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or closely related field. A current valid CDA is also acceptable. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and assessments
  • Assist in setting up and organizing the classroom
  • Help to create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all children
  • Assist in maintaining complete and concise records for each child
  • Assist in implementing IEP's for children with disabilities
  • Complete daily attendance records, meals served, etc.
  • Assist in the inventory of classroom materials and supplies, and store as directed
  • Assist with visits to the homes of parents or guardians of children assigned to classroom
  • Assist with making staff parent conferences.
  • Encourage parent participation in special activities, etc.
  • Assist with lunchroom and bus duties, as assigned.
  • Assist with recruitment and enrollment.
  • Assist with classroom clean-up, including bathroom.
  • Perform other duties as directed. Job Skills - Must do

  • Must be open to give and receive constructive feedback ______________________________________________________________________ Minimum Requirements of the Position
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CDA, TCC or Diploma in ECE or closely related field
  • Associate's degree in ECE or closely related field desired
  • Must possess a valid first aid and CPR certification
  • Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT
TO EXCEED 6 PTS
)
  • Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.
The mission of Head Start is to promote the school readiness of children ages 3 to 5 by encouraging their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Pay:
From $14.16 per hour
