Job Description

Job Summary:
MGCAA, Inc. is hiring Secondary Teacher Floaters for Houston County Head Start Centers. The Secondary Teacher Floaters- Houston County will cover Perry Head Start, Tucker Head Start and Elberta Head Start. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to these three (3) locations. This is a full-time position. The Secondary Teacher Floaters work cooperatively with the Primary Teachers and assist in implementing Early Childhood Development learning experiences and activities and provide office support as needed.
PLEASE NOTE
Candidates must have a TCC or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or closely related field. A current valid CDA is also acceptable. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and assessments
  • Help to create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all children
  • Assist in maintaining complete and concise records for each child
  • Assist in implementing IEP's for children with disabilities
  • Assist in completing daily attendance records, meals served, etc.
  • Assist in the inventory of classroom materials and supplies, and store as directed
  • Assist with lunchroom and bus duties, as assigned
  • Assist with classroom clean-up, including bathroom
  • Willingness to attend all staff meeting and required training.
  • Provide office/administrative support to Center Manager
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform other duties as necessary Attitudes, Attributes, and Aptitudes - Must be aware of
  • Must uphold agency personnel policies and Head Start procedures
  • Must work cooperatively and positively as a team with other staff members
  • Must build positive relationships with children and families from all walks of life
  • Must be open to give and receive constructive feedback Minimum Requirements of the Position
  • Must have TCC or Diploma in ECE or closely related field from Technical school; current Valid CDA is also acceptable.
  • Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT
TO EXCEED 6 PTS
)
  • Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.
