The ideal candidate loves Jesus, loves children, and is committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. This teacher will create a classroom environment that supports academic excellence while intentionally discipling students through a biblical worldview. Essential Requirements Wholeheartedly agree with and support the school's Statement of Faith and Christian Code of Conduct. Demonstrate a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Possess a passion for Christian education and partnering with families. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Iowa teaching license preferred (or willingness to pursue licensure). Demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Ability to work collaboratively with administration, colleagues, students, and families. Essential ResponsibilitiesSpiritual Leadership Integrate biblical truth throughout all subject areas and classroom activities. Model Christ-like character and servant leadership. Lead students in prayer, Scripture, and age-appropriate spiritual discussions. Support the mission and vision of Joshua Christian Academy. Instruction & Student Learning Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school curriculum and learning objectives. Provide instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other assigned subjects. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Utilize assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction. Foster a love of learning and curiosity in students. Classroom Environment Create a safe, orderly, and positive classroom culture. Establish clear expectations and consistent classroom routines. Encourage respectful behavior, responsibility, and character development. Maintain an attractive and organized learning environment. Family Partnership Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family engagement opportunities. Partner with families to support student growth and success. Professional Responsibilities Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school initiatives. Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, grades, and required documentation. Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Director.
