Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Elementary Behavior Support Teacher to join our team at a specialized center designed to support students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. This is a rewarding role for educators who are passionate about helping our most vulnerable students develop self-regulation skills and build pathways to success. About Our Center Our elementary behavior support center serves high-needs students who require intensive, specialized support to develop behavioral and emotional regulation skills. We provide a structured, compassionate environment where students learn coping strategies, build resilience, and work toward reintegration into traditional classroom settings. Our team is committed to trauma-informed practices and recognizing that challenging behaviors are often rooted in unmet needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to elementary students in a high-intensity setting Implement evidence-based behavior intervention and de-escalation strategies Teach and reinforce self-regulation and coping skills Maintain a calm presence during challenging situations Collaborate with counselors, administrators, and support staff Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Maintain detailed documentation and communicate regularly with families Actively supervise students in all settings, including outdoor areas
