Special Education Certification Full Job Description Position:
Elementary Behavior Program Teacher at Desert Springs Elementary with caseload of 5-9 students Vallivue is committed to lower case management numbers and for doing what is best for students. Paperwork days are provided for our special education teachers to assist them. Each school has a set meeting day so that IEP and Eligibility meetings are held during school hours on that day with substitute teachers arranged. We have four professional development days where staff earn university credit that we host within the district geared towards the specific needs of our special education teachers. Applicants must have an Idaho teaching license with Generalist Exceptional Child K-12 or be able to apply for one through the State Department. Applicants on the alternative route must have a Bachelor's Degree and be willing to complete the ABCTE program to obtain a teaching certificate during employment as long as they do this within the first three years after being hired, if they do not already have a current teaching certificate nor an endorsement in Special Education.
