Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Make a meaningful impact on students' lives as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive and engaging educational environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active or eligible Special Education teaching certification Proven experience in K-12 special education environments Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt curriculum for diverse learners Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff Passion for empowering students and promoting inclusive practices Experience with IEP development and progress monitoring preferred Innovative mindset and enthusiastic approach to professional development
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans that accommodate each student's learning style and abilities Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, support specialists, and families to create cohesive learning experiences Employ a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies to address a wide spectrum of learning challenges Track student performance, maintain documentation, and participate in meetings as needed Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom atmosphere Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and goals
