Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact this summer by guiding students toward success as a Special Education Teacher for an engaging Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract opportunity offers five distinct positions in a supportive and collaborative educational environment. With early childhood, K-12, and adult transition openings available, you can choose a focus that best matches your expertise and passion. Your dedication will help students maintain their skills and build confidence ahead of the new school year, all within a welcoming setting that values your leadership and compassion.
Qualifications:
Active LBS1 endorsement required Previous experience in Special Education, preferably in school settings Strong communication skills for collaboration with fellow educators, families, and students Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Adaptability and flexibility to meet varying student needs
What You'll Do:
Deliver engaging instruction and support tailored to each student's IEP Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and district staff to promote student growth Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom climate Monitor progress and document outcomes for each student Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student development
Role Details:
Contract positions in a school setting Five available roles: 1 early childhood, 1 adult transition, and 3 K-12 Session runs May 27th through June 25th Monday
  • Thursday schedule, 7:45am to 12:15pm Focused daily schedule, allowing plenty of time outside of classroom hours If you're ready to spend your summer making a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs, these ESY teaching positions offer a rewarding opportunity.
