Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference for students who benefit from specialized learning support by taking on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Resource Teacher. This part-time role, just two days a week, is ideal for educators passionate about guiding diverse learners and fostering their growth within a welcoming elementary school environment. As a Resource Teacher, you'll play a key role in supporting students who are primarily included in the general education setting but require targeted instruction and intervention. Provide tailored support that empowers students to thrive academically while ensuring their individualized education plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented.
What You'll Need:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience or strong interest in working within K-8 settings Proficiency in IEP development, documentation, and implementation Knowledge of executive functioning strategies and academic interventions Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver push-in and pull-out instructional support, aligned with IEP goals Design interventions to help students access grade-level curricula Implement strategies for executive skill development and academic growth Track student progress and adapt instruction based on performance data Collaborate with staff and families to ensure students' needs are met Provide accommodations and modifications to support student success
