Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Certified LBS1 Special Education Teacher - Bellwood, IL Location Bellwood, Illinois Onsite Position | Education Industry 8 miles from O'Hare International Airport and just outside Chicago, IL Position Overview Soliant Education is hiring multiple onsite Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in Bellwood, Illinois. These contract opportunities are available within supportive K-8 educational settings that serve students with a range of academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs. Educators in these roles will collaborate closely with district staff, service providers, and families to create meaningful learning experiences and promote student success. Open Positions 2 Elementary RISE Teachers (Autism Self-Contained Program) 1 Middle School RISE Teacher (Autism Self-Contained Program) 1 Elementary AIM Teacher (Low Incidence Life Skills Program) 2 SEL Teachers (Social Emotional Learning Programs for students with emotional and behavioral needs at the elementary and middle school levels) Responsibilities Special Education Teachers will provide individualized instruction aligned with each student's educational goals and support plans. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and adapting classroom instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Teachers will also foster positive classroom environments that encourage student growth, communication, independence, and social development. Qualifications Candidates must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement for PK-22 or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to August 2026. Previous experience working with autism programs, life skills instruction, or social-emotional and behavioral support settings is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a student-centered approach are essential for success in these positions. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for these positions is $37.50 to $55.50 per hour, depending on experience, degree level, licensure, and overall qualifications. Soliant Education offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan and weekly pay. These are full-time contract positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
