Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, working with a dedicated K-1 caseload in a supportive school environment near Berwyn, IL. This fulfilling contract position offers 37 hours per week, working directly with young learners who thrive with individualized instruction and patient, compassionate support. Utilizing your expertise and certified skills, you'll collaborate with a passionate educational team to shape student growth and success during foundational years.
Desired Background & Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Teacher endorsement (required onsite) Previous experience, training, or strong interest in early childhood special education Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
