  • Overview
  • We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Berwyn ,IL for the new school year 2026-27 starting in August 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavior management, and working with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students' diverse needs.
  • Duties
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
  • Provide tailored instruction to support students in various areas of development
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other educators to ensure holistic support for each student
  • Incorporate Montessori principles into lesson planning and classroom activities
  • Conduct assessments and track progress to adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Skills
  • Experience working with children in early childhood education settings
  • Knowledge of child welfare practices and policies
  • Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and resources
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
