- We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Berwyn ,IL for the new school year 2026-27 starting in August 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavior management, and working with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students' diverse needs.
- Duties
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Provide tailored instruction to support students in various areas of development
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other educators to ensure holistic support for each student
- Incorporate Montessori principles into lesson planning and classroom activities
- Conduct assessments and track progress to adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Skills
- Experience working with children in early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and policies
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and resources
