Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a full-time, school-year contract position located in Chicago, IL. This role requires a passionate educator skilled in delivering individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within a structured classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of middle school students requiring special education services. Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning profile. Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Utilize data-driven decision making to enhance instructional approaches and outcomes.

Desired Qualifications:

Licensed LBS1 Special Education Teacher certification. Experience working with middle school-aged students. Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices. Ability to manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
