Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. This role is dedicated to fostering a love of learning while supporting the developmental needs of children through innovative teaching strategies, personalized mentorship, and collaborative curriculum development. The Lead Teacher will serve as a key leader within the classroom, ensuring that each child receives high-quality education tailored to their unique abilities and interests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early educational journeys while working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence in childhood development and special education. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, speech therapy, behavioral health, and early intervention strategies. Lead classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavioral management, and inclusive learning experiences for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays. Provide individualized support through IEP (Individualized Education Program) planning and execution to meet each child's specific educational goals. Mentor and supervise assistant teachers and teaching aides, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement. Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment conducive to active participation and exploration. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly. Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for each child's development and well-being. Qualifications 12 hours in Early Childhood Education is required; working towards CDA or AA Degree. Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings, including preschool or private school environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavioral therapy techniques, and behavioral health practices. Experience working with children with autism, disabilities, or in deaf education; familiarity with speech therapy is highly desirable. Ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining high standards of communication skills and child engagement. Must display a passion for working with children and supporting their individual growth.
Pay:
$16.60 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:
