Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or related field (Master's preferred) Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication skills for working with parents, staff, and students Knowledge of diverse instructional strategies for learners with varying disabilities Classroom management skills and a positive, compassionate approach
Duties:
Plan and deliver lessons aligned with IEP goals for students with exceptional needs Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to provide access for all learners Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment Assess student progress and maintain accurate, timely records Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed and engaged in their child's progress This contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the students you serve, while working in a school community that values professional growth and student-centered approaches.
