Key Qualifications & Experience Needed:

Valid LBS1 endorsement for grades 9-12 is required Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a high school setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiation strategies Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality special education instructional services to assigned student caseload Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Maintain regular communication with families regarding progress and goals Use data-driven practices to adjust instruction and interventions Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to enhance student outcomes Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and relevant trainings Uphold all state and federal regulations pertaining to special education
