In this contract role based near Cicero, IL, you'll focus exclusively on managing and leading Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes—no direct classroom instruction is required. Your organizational strengths and knowledge of special education procedures will help ensure students receive the services they need.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings for students receiving special education services Coordinate effective communication between families, staff, and multidisciplinary team members Maintain accurate, compliant IEP documentation and ensure timelines are consistently met Monitor special education procedures and keep student records up-to-date Collaborate with district personnel to support adherence to federal and state special education regulations Manage documentation and workflows using district IEP platforms, including Embrace and Chicago Public Schools systems Provide thorough case management and oversee the execution of special education processes

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Special Education certification (Birth-21 certification is a plus, but all Special Education certifications will be considered) Previous experience as a Case Manager, IEP Coordinator, ARD Facilitator, or related special education support role is highly desirable Familiarity with Embrace and Chicago Public Schools (CPS) IEP systems is strongly preferred Demonstrated organizational, communication, and documentation abilities Proven capacity to manage deadlines, coordinate multiple priorities, and facilitate complex meetings
