Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted instruction and support to visually impaired students throughout the district. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers to enhance student learning and accessibility. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Utilize specialized tools and techniques to assist students in developing academic and functional skills. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and services delivered. Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay current with best practices in visual impairment education.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification for Visual Impairment. Experience working with students who are visually impaired or blind. Strong understanding of assistive technology and instructional strategies for visually impaired students. Ability and willingness to travel between schools within the district regularly.
