This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated Special Education Teachers skilled in cross-categorical instructional programming, eager to enrich the educational experience for students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid teaching credentials in Special Education Prior experience working within a cross-categorical setting Strong knowledge of academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional support strategies Ability to align instruction with grade-level standards while targeting individualized IEP goals Skilled in implementing structured teaching, visual supports, social-emotional and behavioral interventions, and communication accommodations Collaborative mindset to work closely with related service staff and classroom aides
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction designed to meet the unique needs of students in the Roosevelt Middle School instructional program Develop and implement individualized education plans, track progress, and make data-informed instructional adjustments Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that supports emotional, behavioral, and sensory needs Incorporate a variety of supports and interventions to address each student's learning profile Maintain proactive communication with families and multidisciplinary team members Collaborate with classroom aides and 1:1 support staff to deliver cohesive, effective student support This engaging role offers a rewarding chance to impact the lives of students, build relationships with passionate educators, and grow professionally in a dynamic school community.
