Veterinary Care Specialist Job Description Position Overview Our intergrative progressive concierge veterinary clinic is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Veterinary Care Specialist to support both patient care and client service operations. This role serves as a key connection between pet owners, veterinarians, and clinic staff to ensure a positive experience for clients and high-quality care for patients. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist with blood draws, vaccines, and x-rays, vaccines, procedures, treatments, ER care, US, assist with acupuncture, and chiropractic care. Provide compassionate support to clients during stressful or emergency situations Welcome clients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures Educate pet owners on preventative care, medications, nutrition, and follow-up instructions Assist with patient intake, weighing, restraint, and basic animal care Schedule appointments and manage clinic communications including phone calls, emails, and messages Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians during appointments and treatments Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information in clinic software systems Monitor cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and common clinic areas Process payments and explain treatment estimates to clients Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies Ensure a welcoming, professional, and positive clinic environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous veterinary clinic, animal care, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Comfortable working with animals of various sizes and temperaments Basic computer and scheduling software proficiency Passion for animal health and client care Interest in or experience in intergraded medicine a plus Interest in nutrition a plus Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Compassionate and professional demeanor Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with empathy Willingness to learn veterinary terminology and clinic procedures Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Pay:
$22.00 - $29.00 per hour
