Until Filled Hearing Itinerant K-12:SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and administer an appropriate program of instruction for students identified as having disabilities; Monitor and update each Individual Education Plan; Conference with parents concerning the Individual Education Plan; Provide appropriate assessment and evaluation of each child's program; Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation; Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; Provide parents and teachers with suggestions on how to be more effective with children with disabilities; Use appropriate techniques and strategies that promote and enhance critical, creative, and evaluative thinking of students; Use appropriate instruction strategies and materials the reflect each student's culture, learning styles, special needs, and socioeconomic background; Fulfill the terms of any affected written contract and adhere to the Codes of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct of the Education Profession in Illinois; Assist in the enforcement of all federal, state and district regulations, policies and procedures; Make all decisions and perform all tasks in accordance with District 158's policies and philosophies; Ensure compliance with Board rules and applicable federal laws and regulations; Perform other tasks or services consistent with the job goal of this position.SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Must meet state of Illinois license requirements (K-12 certification with DHH endorsement); Use effective positive interpersonal communication skills; Adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure; Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, articulation, concentration, confidentiality, and organization. Vision Itinerant K-12:SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The ESY Vision Itinerant provides educational assistance along with orientation and mobility services to students who are blind/partially sighted.SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with blind/visually impaired endorsement. Must also provide certificate from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) or the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER).- Please specify in comment section which position you are interested in.
