Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE)

Position Type:
Full-Time We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in the Joliet, IL area for the 2026 2027 school year. This is a full-time, school-based position working with young learners in an early childhood setting.
Position Overview:
The ECSE Teacher will support students with diverse learning needs by creating an inclusive, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and developmental growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs Provide instruction tailored to early childhood learners with varying abilities Create a positive and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Utilize evidence-based strategies to support developmental milestones
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or related field Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement required Experience working with early childhood populations preferred Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
