Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our team for the 2026 2027 school year in a school-based setting near Joliet . This is a full-time position offering a rewarding opportunity to support students with hearing impairments and help them achieve academic and personal success. Position Details Full-Time, School-Based Position 2026 2027 School Year Competitive Pay Starting at $45.00 per hour Supportive educational environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs Promote student engagement, communication, and academic achievement Qualifications Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing services Experience working with school-aged students preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to supporting diverse learners in educational settings Benefits Competitive compensation Weekly pay Comprehensive benefits package Professional support and advocacy Opportunities for professional growth and development If you are passionate about helping students succeed and are looking for a rewarding school-based opportunity, we encourage you to apply today!
