Qualifications:
Hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a valid LBS1 Illinois PEL (K-22) certifying Special Education teaching eligibility by August 2026. Proven experience writing and implementing IEPs. Certification to teach Grades 6-8 Special Education (or in final stages of obtaining). Demonstrated adaptability and positive attitude in diverse school settings.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to students in Grades 6-8, aligning with IEP goals and state standards. Write, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment focused on student success. Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress. Cultivate inclusive classroom strategies that celebrate diversity and student strengths.
