Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a teacher specializing in visual impairment services delivered via telehealth. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, utilizing remote teaching methods to meet educational goals.
Location:
Metamora, IL Responsibilities include: Delivering tailored educational services to students with visual impairments through telehealth platforms. Assessing student needs and adapting instructional strategies accordingly. Collaborating with educational teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation. Communicating effectively with families and school personnel to support student success.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Experience with telehealth or remote instruction methods. Knowledge of assistive technologies and resources for visually impaired learners. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage a variable schedule with flexibility in working hours.
Additional details:
Hours will vary based on caseload, which will be discussed during the interview process. This contract position offers the chance to contribute specialized expertise in visual impairment education through innovative telehealth delivery. Interested candidates with relevant qualifications and a commitment to supporting visually impaired students are encouraged to apply. Compensation for this position ranges from $31.11 to $61.11.
