Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower the next generation of learners by supporting students in a welcoming and inclusive school setting near Morton, IL. Several contract openings are available for passionate Special Education Teachers for the 2026/27 school year, each role tailored to unique age groups and learning environments.
Multiple openings include:
- 8th Grade Self-Contained Teacher - Guide students in a focused learning environment.
- 6th Grade Inclusion Teacher - Provide vital support within general education classrooms, with 2-3 classes exclusively for special education students.
- 3rd-5th Self-Contained Teacher - Foster growth and academic achievement among younger learners.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for the state
- Experience in self-contained classrooms or inclusion settings highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Dedication to differentiating instruction and maximizing student potential
- Genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with diverse learning needs Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with IEPs
