Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification recognized by the state Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Previous classroom experience working with students who have diverse learning needs Familiarity with crafting and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication abilities for connecting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Patience, creativity, and a collaborative approach to teaching
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver tailored instructional lessons based on each student's IEP goals Modify general curriculum and adapt teaching techniques to accommodate various learning styles and abilities Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure an inclusive classroom environment Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback to families and school administrators Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development activities Cultivate a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere that uplifts students' academic and personal growth
