The ideal candidate will have a strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with young children. This role offers an opportunity to lead and inspire a team of educators while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development and learning. The Lead Teacher will play a vital role in designing engaging lesson plans, implementing educational strategies, and ensuring the welfare of every child in our care. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood development, literacy, math, and physical education. Lead classroom activities, managing daily lesson plans and adapting instruction to meet individual student needs. Oversee classroom management, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children. Collaborate with staff to design programs that support special education needs and early intervention strategies. Monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing, adjusting teaching methods accordingly. Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers and classroom aides. Communicate regularly with parents about child welfare, progress, and classroom activities. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in childcare and preschool education. Incorporate Montessori or other specialized educational approaches as appropriate to enhance learning experiences. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Experience with special education, early intervention programs, or literacy education is highly desirable. Familiarity with teaching physical education, tutoring, or standardized testing is a plus. Prior experience working with toddlers through preschool-age children is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Experience working within Montessori or similar educational frameworks is advantageous.
