SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Our clients are seeking a dedicated Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning needs in a therapeutic day school environment. The school serves K-12 students who require a highly structured educational setting with intensive academic, behavioral, and clinical support services.
CLIENT'S LOCATION
Schools are located in Park Ridge.
DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide differentiated and specialized instruction based on student needs and goals. Assess academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress and adjust interventions accordingly. Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Maintain a structured, therapeutic classroom environment that promotes student success. Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques. Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and case management activities. Foster student growth in academics, social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Holds a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement. Has experience working with students with emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Demonstrates strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills. Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Is committed to creating positive educational outcomes for students with complex needs
