Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact for students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment beginning August 19, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027. This rewarding opportunity near Peoria, IL, offers multiple classroom settings and the chance to shape learning experiences for exceptional learners. You'll choose from three distinctive roles: 8th Grade Self-Contained Classroom (7:45 am-2:45 pm) 6th Grade Inclusion Position (supporting students in general education and teaching 2-3 dedicated special education classes; 7:45 am-2:45 pm) 3rd-5th Grade Self-Contained Classroom A pay rate ranging from $30-$40 per hour is offered, reflecting your expertise and dedication.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Current state teaching license with appropriate Special Education endorsement Previous classroom experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical experience encouraged to apply Solid understanding of IEP development, modifications, and implementation Comfortable adapting instruction to diverse learning needs and collaborating with staff and families
