Key Qualifications:
Valid educator certification Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to creating accessible, engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement instructional strategies and materials adapted for visually impaired students Conduct assessments and help determine appropriate resources for individualized education programs Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support students' academic and functional goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on accessibility and instructional methods for visual impairment Monitor student progress and make data-driven instructional adjustments as needed Maintain professional and timely communication with faculty and family members Enjoy working full time in a welcoming onsite environment dedicated to educational excellence.
