Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Illinois ProCare - 3.3 Peoria, IL Job Details Part-time | Contract $31.11 - $61.11 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Teaching Certification Visually impaired education Teaching Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in services for the visually impaired, providing instruction and support through telehealth methods. This position involves delivering specialized educational services to students with visual impairments, ensuring accessibility and promoting learning outcomes via virtual platforms.
Location:
Peoria, IL (remote telehealth services) Responsibilities include: Conducting virtual assessments and individualized instruction tailored to the needs of students with visual impairments Collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement effective learning strategies and accommodations Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods to enhance accessibility and comprehension Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with educational standards and district requirements Communicating with families and support staff to facilitate consistent support across learning environments Desired qualifications and experience: Certification or licensure in teaching students who are visually impaired Demonstrated experience with telehealth or virtual instructional delivery methods Strong knowledge of educational strategies, assistive technology, and assessment tools for the visually impaired Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule This contract position requires approximately 10 hours per week, with specific scheduling details to be coordinated with the district.
