Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Shape the future of junior high students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position offering full-time hours, Monday through Friday. Impact lives by delivering targeted support through a combination of push-in and pull-out services, working closely with general education staff to foster an inclusive learning environment. This opportunity ensures you play a vital role in student growth while receiving dedicated time each day for student mentoring in math and language arts—42 minutes built into your schedule for focused guidance at the end of the school day.
Requirements:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience or strong interest in junior high (middle school) student engagement Understanding of push-in/pull-out instructional models Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and support staff Effective communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
Support a varied caseload of junior high students, providing both in-class and one-on-one interventions Deliver direct instruction in core subjects and specialized content as needed Adapt curriculum and tailor learning plans to meet IEP goals Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention effectiveness Engage in daily mentoring sessions in math and language arts to bolster student confidence and skills Foster a positive, productive classroom environment that nurtures academic, emotional, and social growth Perks of this
