JOB SUMMARY
Works directly with the Special Education Director and Special Education team leader to write a portion of all RTHS IEPs.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Valid LBS 1 Experience working as a special education teacher and writing IEP's Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Familiarity with Embrace Familiarity with Skyward Ability to communicate well with school personnel, parents, students and district staff while complying with the confidentiality requirements in local, state and federal policies and status. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS
Performance Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Write legally defensible IEP's following all state and federal guidelines Collect, analyze, and report progress monitoring data in an objective and measurable manner Participate in the coordination of the IEP process, which includes but is not limited to maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records for all students Consult and collaborate with staff members about student needs and progress to facilitate the development of a meaningful IEP Ensure legal compliance with special education timelines and requirements Prepare materials for annual reviews and EDC's Staff will be responsible for the following areas: Present levels Goals Educational Accommodations Assessment Educational Services Placement Indicator 13 Email To A Friend Print Version Postings current as of 4/1/2026 1:45:33 AM CST.
