Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a dynamic educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your expertise will help create engaging lesson plans, implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism. This is an exciting opportunity to lead by example, mentor fellow educators, and make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori or preschool methodologies. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math activities, behavioral therapy techniques, and sensory integration strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral health practices to create a safe learning environment. Collaborate with families, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support individual student needs and IEP goals. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adapt instruction accordingly. Provide mentorship and coaching to assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure high-quality instructional delivery. Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior reports, and communication logs while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 60 College Credits (6 of those in Early Childhood) or
CDA Credential Pay:
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
