Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time, on-site Teacher for the Visually Impaired is needed for the 2026-2027 school year in Tilton, IL. This position requires an experienced educator skilled in working with visually impaired students across a school district. The role is itinerant, involving travel to various locations within the district to provide specialized instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to visually impaired students throughout the district Collaborate with school staff and families to support student learning and development Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs Maintain accurate records and reports related to student performance Travel regularly within the district to meet with students in different schools
Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Proven experience in instructing students with visual impairments Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage travel within the district Commitment to on-site instruction; virtual teaching is not applicable for this role
