World Language - Italian Teacher - 1.0

FTE Responsibilities:

Teach all levels of Italian, from Italian I through AP Italian, to students with diverse academic backgrounds. Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Utilize culturally responsive teaching practices to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues in job-alike groups to design, implement, and refine curriculum. Integrate digital curriculum and 1:1 iPad instruction effectively into the classroom. Utilize instructional and multimedia technologies to enhance student learning. Actively participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in world language education. Contribute to the school community by coaching or sponsoring co-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Senior High School endorsement in Italian. Demonstrated ability to teach all levels of Italian, including AP Italian. Proven experience in applying culturally responsive teaching practices. Commitment to collaborative curriculum development and implementation. Proficiency in integrating digital curriculum and technology into instruction. Willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels. Commitment to coach or sponsor co-curricular activity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

EL Endorsement. Active membership in professional world language organizations. Experience in coaching and/or sponsoring co-curricular activities.
