Job Description

Special Education Teacher for a 36‑week assignment in or near Evansville, Indiana. Responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans and delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities. Offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities within the school setting Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment Assess student progress and maintain detailed documentation of educational outcomes Maintain a positive and safe environment conducive to learning and personal growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Indiana State Teaching License for Special Education CPR certification First Aid certification Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with disabilities Experience in an academic setting Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Ability to pass required background checks Strong communication skills Adaptability in a school environment
