Special Education Teacher, Up to $50/hr

Special Education Teacher position in Frankfort, Indiana for a 39‑week contract, paid up to $50 per hour based on experience. The role involves developing IEPs, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff and parents to support students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student success. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment. Support students in accessing curriculum and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field, or equivalent. Indiana State Teaching License for Special Education or equivalent credentials. Minimum of 1 year of experience in special education, with skills in resource, study skills, or essential skills teaching at the middle or high school level. Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with school staff, and pass background checks. Comfortable working in a school setting with a focus on day shifts.
