POSITION REPORTS TO/TERM

Principal and Administrative Team This is a full time 10-month position. Overview As a General Construction/Construction Trades Teacher, you will ignite the passion for building and craftsmanship in your students! You'll lead dynamic classes that cover essential skills in construction, automotive repair, plumbing, welding, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and more. Your expertise will empower learners to thrive in various trades while emphasizing safety standards and innovative practices. Join us in shaping the next generation of skilled tradespeople !

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop and teach an appealing and engrossing curriculum for high school students. Provide hands-on learning experiences in all the essential areas of the construction industry. Highly promote workplace safety, tool handling, and construction site best practices. Incorporate industry trends and technologies into lessons. Collaborate with local businesses, trade organizations, and apprenticeship programs to create career pathways for students. Maintain a safe and organized classroom and workshop environment. Enable students to achieve industry skills certifications. Work with school administrators and fellow educators to align course objectives with career and technical education (CTE) goals.

REQUIREMENTS
