As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, implementing individualized learning plans, and mentoring fellow educators. Your expertise will help children develop essential skills across early childhood education, special education, and developmental support, ensuring each student reaches their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to lead with enthusiasm, inspire curiosity, and make a meaningful difference in children's lives through innovative teaching practices. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and behavioral health. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support students with autism, developmental disabilities, or learning challenges. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Conduct assessments such as standardized testing and progress monitoring to evaluate student growth and inform instruction. Prepare and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring specialized support. Mentor and supervise teaching assistants and new staff members to ensure high-quality instructional delivery. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance records, and communication logs with families. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Engage families through regular communication about their child's development, milestones, and educational goals. Requirements Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Experience working with children with autism, disabilities, or in early intervention programs. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, IEP processes, and standardized testing procedures. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and specialists. Certification or licensure in early childhood education or special education preferred; relevant training in speech therapy or behavioral health is a plus. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs within inclusive classrooms. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor staff and foster team collaboration. Passion for mentoring children and supporting their social-emotional growth through engaging activities and library services integration.
