Job Description

Special Education Teacher responsible for designing and delivering individualized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring inclusive learning environments and tracking progress through IEPs on a 36‑week assignment in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities within the school setting Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment Assess student progress and maintain detailed documentation of educational outcomes Maintain a positive and safe environment conducive to learning and personal growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Indiana State Teaching License for Special Education CPR and First Aid certification Minimum of 1 year experience working with students with disabilities in an academic setting Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Ability to pass required background checks Strong communication skills Adaptability in a school environment
