Special Education Teacher

Job Description Provides research-based, specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP. Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals. Job Requirements Be licensed to teach Special Education in the State of Indiana by the date of appointment or in the process Job Qualifications Hold a baccalaureate degree Possess certification to teach in Indiana by date of appointment or in the process Demonstrate strong instructional skills Possess strong content area expertise Demonstrate strong classroom management. Be proficient in the differentiation of instruction for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
