Wound Care Specialist Bassam Chahine Andover, KS Job Details Part-time | Full-time | PRN | Contract | Local contract $25 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Anatomy knowledge Infection control Clinical documentation Wound care Full Job Description Job Overview Join our care team as a wound care specialist for our special needs family member. We are looking for wound care specialists to help manage wounds related to lymphedema. Wound dressing must be changed twice a day. Wound Care Specialist, where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and quality of life. In this role, you will implement comprehensive wound management plans tailored to the patient. The position is available as a part-time or full-time. Pick morning (8-12) and/or evening (6-10) shifts, or both for full-time. Responsibilities Execute individualized wound treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and innovative therapies such as debridement, dressings, and skin substitutes. Administer specialized procedures determined by wound care clinic Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations of wound healing status, vital signs, and physiological responses; adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain meticulous medical documentation of wound conditions Proven experience in wound management. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and diagnostic evaluation techniques related to wound healing. Certification in Wound Care (such as CWSP or WCC) is highly preferred; relevant certifications in suturing or esthetic laser treatments are a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with sterile processing techniques.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
