Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in the Manhattan, Kansas area, serving an elementary caseload within a school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential support and instruction to students with special needs, helping them achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment. Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, supportive atmosphere. Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings. Strong knowledge of special education methodologies and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
