Key Qualifications:
Valid Kansas low-incidence Special Education teaching license for grades 6-12 Previous experience working with high school students in special education settings Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive special education instruction aligned with students' IEPs Adapt curriculum strategies to meet unique learning and behavioral needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly Maintain accurate records and adhere to local and state compliance standards Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluation Provide both academic and social-emotional support, encouraging each student's development
