Job Description

Summary This position is for our Highly Structured Resource room and candidate must have LBD or MSD certification. The location of this classroom will be at Caldwell County Elementary School and will include students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students to reach their full potential, and promote academic and social growth. This role requires a commitment to educational excellence and a collaborative spirit to work well with colleagues and parents. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Provide individualized support to students, addressing their diverse learning needs and styles. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities. Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies. Participate in school events and meetings as required. Stay informed about educational best practices and contribute to curriculum development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid Kentucky teaching certification for Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD) or Moderate to Severe Disabilities (MSD). Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment. Must pass background checks and adhere to school district policies.
