Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Qualifications & Experience:
Active Kentucky Special Education (SPED) teaching license required Previous experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students with varying abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Adaptable approach to teaching, with creative problem-solving abilities Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Positive, compassionate attitude and a strong work ethic
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support to students with special needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual student goals Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning Foster a safe, encouraging classroom environment focused on student strength and potential
